Cambridge India launches its first Hindi series for schools – 'Mridul Hindi'
A new series of Hindi language books for CBSE Schools was launched today at the India International Centre, by Ashok Vajpeyi, the Former Chairman of the Lalit Kala Akademi and a distinguished poet, essayist, literary and cultural critic.
Mridul Hindi, published by Cambridge University Press India, is a 9-level series and is compliant with the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) guidelines.
The authors of the series are Madhuri Thipsay and Kalpeshwari Nauriyal. Ms Thipsay has twenty-two years of teaching experience and has written books 0-5. Ms Nauriyal – honoured with the Teacher's Award by the Hindi Academy, Delhi – has twenty-three years of teaching experience and is the author of books 6-8.
The books in the series have been designed using modern teaching strategies. Sections like ‘Let's Play' (khel-khelmein), ‘Content Study' (bhashaadhyan), ‘HOTS Questions and MCQs' along with other suggested activities enhance the creative and analytical thinking (and skills) of the students. Dictionary meanings and sample test papers for examination purposes are available towards the end of the book. Additional practice questions can also be found at the end of each chapter.
At the launch, Ms Thipsay said: "It is an honour to be associated with the world's finest academic and educational publishing house and university."
Ms Nauriyal commented: "My keen interest in the Hindi language always motivated me in my writing, and as Cambridge University Press India is known for its quality and excellence, I wanted to work with them – it's been a wonderful experience."
The series consists of student's books, workbooks, and teacher's manuals.
