The Cambridge Companion to Human Rights Law looks at how human rights law has developed, what has been achieved and at what cost.

This Companion is the fourth to publish in the Cambridge Companions to Law series, joining Companions to international law, European private law and comparative law. Each follows the model of an edited collection with a leading scholar bringing together a team of outstanding experts in that field. Further titles planned include Companions to public law and jurisprudence (the study and theory of law).

Guests of honour at the recent launch included Michael Mansfield QC, one of the UK's most high-profile defence barristers, and Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, author, presenter and activist.
