New era of education in Mongolia with the Cambridge standard

Cambridge University Press has been supporting Mongolia with its education reform initiative.

The Press's support was enlisted in March this year to provide training and support for authors who had been selected by the Mongolian Ministry of Education to write new textbooks.

Cambridge specialists have been working with Mongolian authors to create a suite of new texts that set the Cambridge standard in maths, biology, chemistry, physics, science and English for 10 grades.

Cambridge will also provide textbooks for Mongolia's New Era Schools, set up by the Ministry to cater for the brightest students who learn their core subjects in English and take Cambridge International Examinations qualifications.

The education reform initiative is being worked on in partnership with Cambridge International Examinations (CIE), which is also part of the University of Cambridge.

The new materials will be in use in schools across the country from 2014.
