Andrew Russell Forsyth (1858–1942) was an influential Scottish mathematician notable for incorporating the advances of Continental mathematics within the British tradition. Originally published from 1890 through to 1906, this six-volume series provides detailed information on various aspects of differential equation theory. It will be of value to anyone with an interest in this area and the historical development of mathematics in general.
