Delivery vehicles should report to the Goods-In area as shown on the map below.
Vehicles must arrive within 15 minutes either side of the agreed delivery time. Deliveries arriving outside the allocated slot will only be accepted and off-loaded if and when there are uncommitted resources available to do so. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate late arrivals where prior notice of delay has been given, in extreme circumstances on busy days deliveries arriving outside the allocated slot may be refused.

Information on how to book in your delivery
Booking In your delivery
As the supplier, you are responsible for arranging the delivery of your consignment. All Deliveries must be booked in advance using the Delivery Request Form which you should Obtain by e-mailing Goodsin@cambridge.org. If you are supplying more than one Consignment, you should keep a copy of this Form for future use. You must provide the Following information to arrange a delivery:
- Purchase Order number
- 13 digit International Standard Book Number (ISBN) of the product to be delivered
- Quantity of pallets
- The preferred date of delivery
Deliveries to the Edinburgh Building Warehouse are accepted between 9.00am and 3.00 pm Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays and Press stand-down days between Christmas and the New Year.
The Edinburgh Building Warehouse Goods-in Area is very busy. It operates a diary system for deliveries. Slots are offered on a first come first served basis. If your preferred time for Delivery has already been allocated, you will be offered the nearest available slot. If you wish to rescheduled a delivery slot once it is has been agreed, you must contact the Goods-In section by e-mailing Goodsin@cambridge.org as soon as you are aware of a need to change it: you must quote the Cambridge University Press booking reference you were given at the time of making the original booking.
Desirable Requirements
The Goods-In area at Edinburgh Building Warehouse has many deliveries. You are strongly advised to give as much notice as possible of your consignment delivery requirements to avoid disappointment. Suppliers external to the Cambridge University press should make contact at least 5 working days before their preferred date of delivery.
