Avoiding “Negligence and Profusion”: The Ownership and Organization of Anglo–Indian Trading Firms, 1813–1870

Michael Aldous is a Lecturer in Management at Queens University Belfast. His work examines the long-run evolution of business ownership and organization. It draws on various theories of the firm, particularly transaction cost economics and principal–agent theory as analytical frameworks.
