Experiments indicate:

  1. 1. That this disease does not decrease egg production.

  2. 2. That it does not decrease the percentage of hatchability of fertile eggs.

  3. 3. That there is no great difference in the percentage of chick losses between the offspring of reactors and non-reactors to the pullorum test.

  4. 4. That since the percentage of reactors in these trials decreased oonsiderably, there is a possibility that resistance to pullorum disease may be developed by breeding.

  5. 5. That a considerable number of reacting hens come from nonreacting dams, and that on the other hand many non-reactors come from reacting dams.
