Starting in 2003 Philosophy of Science will be mailed out five times a year. The regular issues will be scheduled for January, April, July, and October. (There may be some delays as we switch to the new schedule.) The Proceedings will be shipped separately in December; this move will enable us to qualify for lower postage rates. There will be no change in the total number of journal pages published each year.

In 2002 Philosophy of Science went online. Although there were inevitable glitches at the beginning, we are delighted with this additional format. As part of that process authors now receive page proofs as PDF files, which speeds up production. We also plan to make the online version available slightly before the print edition arrives. Currently all readers may access the online issues at: <http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/PHILSCI/journal/>. Soon access will be limited to PSA members (others will still be able to see titles and abstracts). Back issues of the journal, including old volumes of the Proceedings, are available through JSTOR: <http://www.jstor.org/jstor/>.

The 2002 Biennial Meeting of the Philosophy of Science Association in Milwaukee was the biggest, and arguably the best, ever. We hope this year's issues will reflect the diversity and depth of the work going on in our field. Thank you to our authors and our referees for their contributions.
