The following is a list of learning and research resources on topics that are central to this themed section, namely on the methodological issues involved in the measurement of inflation; key databases on inflation and its key components; the distributional consequences of inflation; the central role of indexation mechanisms for securing the adequacy of welfare benefits and avoid fiscal drag effects in the taxing of incomes; the policy responses to the current cost-of-living crisis in advanced economies; and the policy responses to previous inflationary and economic crises and welfare regimes.
