Social awareness lessons
At this early stage, teachers play an important part in the development of the everyday life skills children need in order to participate actively and appropriately in society. To this end, there are six new social awareness lessons, with the aim of reinforcing good habits and promoting tolerance and respect, while at the same time introducing useful language that the pupils will encounter in the real world. Topics covered include helping at home, behaving in class, tidying up, road safety, etc.

Extra pronunciation practice
Kid's Box has a strong focus on pronunciation from the very first moment. The English for Spanish Speakers edition also includes extension pronunciation activities which focus on the most problematic individual sounds for Spanish speakers. By offering further practice of these sounds, the pupils are given more opportunities to listen to, assimilate and reproduce sounds which may not exist in their mother tongue.

Festival lessons
Pupils will learn about the origins and current traditions of these celebrations, while at the same time learning that different countries may celebrate different festivals and that festivals celebrated in Spain can be celebrated in other countries too. These lessons are also an excellent opportunity to teach new vocabulary and language in a clear, motivating context.
