These pages provide tips and practice to avoid the common errors typically made by Spanish speakers, based on research from the Cambridge Learner Corpus.

Get it right! pages deal principally with confusing words, typical errors in grammar patterns and common spelling mistakes, all of which have been identified in the Cambridge Learner Corpus data from Spanish speakers who have taken Cambridge ESOL exams. Each error is preceded by a Tip! which aims to raise awareness of the error and help students avoid it in the future.

Reading and Writing Portfolio Plus

The Reading and Writing Portfolio in the Workbook helps students to develop their writing skills, based on models and analysis. The face2face English for Spanish Speakers edition adds to the already extensive photocopiable resources section at the back of the Teacher's Book with 26 new worksheets: Vocabulary & Grammar Extra. These pages contain activities that provide additional controlled practice of the target language presented in the A and B lessons of the Student's Book.

The main aim of the worksheets is to practise the key vocabulary and grammar areas, but students are also given a secondary task on every page with a more communicative focus to reinforce their speaking skills.
