Teacher's notes

A.
This grammar focus gives more practice in the present perfect and simple past tenses. First of all carry out a review of the tenses. Model the new examples (set in a business context) and then elicit a few more examples from your students using the box. Elicit responses to question 1, then encourage students to continue filling in the gaps for Qs. 2 to 8 on their own. Students check their answers in pairs. (Note: If you have a 1-1 class, you should act as the 'partner' in all pair activities.)
