Cambridge at Al-Balqa' University in Salt, Jordan
Cambridge University Press was delighted to hold a seminar on Messages and English Language Teaching on 20th May in Al-Balqa' Applied University Consultations, Studies and Training Centre in Salt, Jordan. About 20 teachers from schools in Salt were invited to attend a presentation discussing areas of English Language Teaching such as introducing grammar rules, developing fluency and tricks for making students love reading! They also learnt about Messages, Cambridge's new four-level course for lower-secondary students.
We enjoyed questions over refreshments after the presentation and the enthusiasm of the teachers made the afternoon pass in a flash!
We would sincerely like to thank Dr Ziad Salem Abu-Hamatteh, Associate Professor and Director of the Consultations, Studies and Training Centre at Al-Balqa' University for hosting this excellent event. We would also like to extend our thanks to Philadelphia Book Gallery for organising the seminar in such an efficient way. We hope the teachers enjoyed themselves as much as we did!
