happening once every year, or relating to a period of one year

the brunt of
the main force of (esp. something unpleasant)

brand name noun
the name given to a particular product by the company that makes it

coupon noun
a piece of paper which can be used to obtain something without paying for it or at a reduced price

credit card noun
a small plastic card which can be used as a method of payment, the money being taken from you at a later time

bill noun esp. US
a piece of paper money

downturn noun
a reduction in the amount or success of something, such as a country's economic activity

slowdown noun
a reduction in speed, activity or the rate that things are produced

eurocheque noun
a cheque that can be used in particular banks or shops in Europe

increase verb
to become or make larger in amount or size

interest noun
money which is charged by a financial organization such as a bank to people who have borrowed from them, or the profit which is made on money invested in a financial organization

launch verb
to begin (something such as a plan) or introduce (something new such as a product)

letter of credit noun
a letter from a bank allowing the person who has it to take a particular amount of money from a bank in another country

list price noun
The list price of a product is the price at which its maker suggests it should be sold.

marginal adjective
very small in amount or effect

net noun
left when there is nothing else to be subtracted

oblique adjective
having a sloping direction, angle or position

slash noun
A slash is also a sloping line used in printing or writing to separate letters or numbers.
