About the author

George Yule is the author of several books in language and linguistics. He has worked as an English teacher in Britain, Canada, Jamaica, and Saudi Arabia, and he has taught Applied Linguistics in the Universities of Edinburgh, Hawaii, Louisiana State and Minnesota.
