Cambridge Studies in Linguistics

Back to Language and linguistics

Editors: P. Austin, Professor J. Bresnan, B. Comrie, S. Crain, W. Dressler, C. J. Ewen, R. Lass, D. Lightfoot, K. Rice, I. Roberts, S. Romaine, N. V. Smith

The Cambridge Studies in Linguistics series aims to publish works of scholarship that make a substantive contribution to general, theoretical, and descriptive linguistics. Some volumes are of interest across a broad range of the discipline, while others speak primarily to a relatively small group of linguists specializing in a particular topic, language or language area. In order to make such volumes available at a reasonable price, they include Supplementary Volumes, which are produced to a high standard from type-written camera copy and bound in boards printed with the series design.
