A contemporary approach to a traditional skill where fun meets fluency!
Handwriting is a key literacy skill that needs to be taught actively, not just practised.
The Penpals framework for teaching and learning will help you to do this with CD-ROMs for
whole-class sessions, Big Books for group sessions, pupil practice books and easy-to-use
teacher notes for focused, direct teaching. Penpals gives you the means to teach handwriting
in a fun way and helps children to develop a fluent, confident handwriting style.
Penpals provides clear progression for children aged 3 to 11 starting in Foundation 1 where
children practice their gross and fine motor skills in readiness for handwriting and
finishing in Years 5 & 6 where basic handwriting issues are revised and speed and fluency
improved.
We believe that a flexible, fluent and legible handwriting style empowers children to write
with confidence and creativity. This is an entitlement that needs skilful teaching if each
individual is to reach their full potential at primary school.
Now with NEW Foundation 1 CD-ROM for mark-making and creativity!
- Structured and unstructured mark-making practice on the interactive whiteboard.
- Plenty of exciting speaking and listening opportunities.
- Fine and gross motor skills and development.
- Suitable for use before and alongside any handwriting scheme.
