In Our Own Words takes the unique approach of using student writing as a resource for writing instruction and idea development. It motivates students to take themselves seriously as writers and actively engage in writing as a communicative process. Carefully designed activities, suggestions, and assignments provide the structure that enables students to explore their own thoughts and find their own words.
