THE GREAT GATSBY, regarded as one of the greatest American novels since its publication in 1925, started out as a very different book. TRIMALCHIO, an early version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel available exclusively from Cambridge University Press, inspired Baz Luhrmann’s big-screen GATSBY.
