Cambridge Studies in Religious Traditions is a series designed to accommodate the best scholarship in religious studies, raising key questions about religion in general through in-depth studies of specific religious traditions and contexts. The books in the series offer explorations of religious life, thought, texts and history that are grounded in a particular religious tradition but which at the same time make connections with other traditions and with other academic fields, disciplines and approaches, thus opening up avenues for comparison.
