The Scientific Basis of Psychiatry

During the past 30 years there has been a growing awareness of the need to bridge the gap between the basic sciences and the clinical study of mental disorders. The aim of this series of monographs is to present substantial accounts of the current status of various scientific disciplines and sub-disciplines in relation to psychology medicine. The authors are all authorities in their fields with special experience of and interest in psychiatry.
