The renewed SNLP series strives to present the 'balancing acts' that define the field of natural language processing (NLP). Volumes in this series address current research topics and applications that shed light on language technology, languages, and linguistics. A significant number of these new volumes, with titles dealing with processing issues of a specific natural language, focus on 'NLP for Specific Languages', which represents a boon for both language-specific and cross-lingual research. Because of the availability of significantly sized language resources in a growing number of languages, NLP research now faces the challenges of linguistic diversity, as each language has its own unique grammar and lexicon. This means that the processing issues of a newly studied language might be different from the processing issues of a previously studied language and therefore must be examined based on a new set of data. Each volume will provide a comprehensive overview of the linguistic structures and available resources of the language, as well as state-of-the-art surveys on processing issues and up-to-date engineering applications for the language. These volumes will be of interest to researchers working on processing particular language(s), or on cross-lingual processing involving these languages, and to linguists studying languages. SNLP will continue to publish the highest quality work on pioneering research areas in computational linguistics
