The disciplines of economics and philosophy each possess their own special analytical methods, the combination of which is powerful and fruitful. Economics and Philosophy seeks to promote the mutual enrichment of the two disciplines by publishing high-quality original research in all contemporary areas linking them, as well as relevant book reviews. Economics and Philosophy only publishes articles that engage with issues that are of interest to both economists and philosophers.Topics include, but are not limited to, the foundations of rational or behavioral decision theory and game theory, the nature of rationality in general, issues at the intersection of economics with moral, political, and social philosophy, experimental research on economics and philosophy, and the philosophy and methodology of economics. Articles that employ mathematics must be written in such a way that they are accessible to readers with limited formal training. Economics and Philosophy does not publish historical or text-interpretive work unless it makes a contribution to current debates about economics and philosophy.
The mission of JHET is to further the objectives of the History of Economics Society. These are to promote interest in and inquiry into the history of economics and related parts of intellectual history, facilitate communication and discourse among scholars working in the field of the history of economics, and disseminate knowledge about the history of economics. JHET therefore encourages and makes available research in the fields of history of economic thought and the history of economic methodology. The work of many distinguished authors has been published in its pages. It is recognised as being a first class international scholarly publication. All articles are fully peer reviewed. The journal also features a regular book review section which includes reviews by leading specialists. Membership in the The History of Economics Society includes a subscription to the journal. Behavioural Public Policy is an interdisciplinary and international peer-reviewed journal devoted to behavioural research and its relevance to public policy. The study of human behaviour is important within many disciplinary specialties and in recent years the findings from this field have begun to be applied to policy concerns in a substantive and sustained way. BPP seeks to be multidisciplinary and therefore welcomes articles from economists, psychologists, philosophers, anthropologists, sociologists, political scientists, primatologists, evolutionary biologists, legal scholars and others, so long as their work relates the study of human behaviour directly to a policy concern. BPP focuses on high-quality research which has international relevance and which is framed such that the arguments are accessible to a multidisciplinary audience of academics and policy makers.
