I was excited to publish my first book Taking Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Seriously in International Criminal Law with Cambridge University Press especially as my title was accepted as part of the longstanding flagship law series, Cambridge Studies in International and Comparative Law. This series is considered the top place for international law monographs with world-class series editors.
Cambridge University Press has a serious review process and provides detailed, constructive and critical reports. The expectation is that you will rigorously revise the manuscript – which is daunting but ultimately makes the book much better than the manuscript – in my case the jury of an award I won said the the revisions and the chapter added during the publication process made the difference! As a leading University Publisher Cambridge has global reach with books bought by libraries and scholars across the world, there is no 'trans-atlantic gap' (e.g. sales only in Europe or in the US, but not both).
My experience of publishing with Cambridge University Press has been extremely positive and rewarding.
