The Book of Common Prayer is not just the old and well-loved prayer book of the Church of England. It is one of the classic texts of the English language, and many of its phrases and ideas have become common usage. This small Prayer Book provides the complete 1662 services, and is bound in burgundy imitation leather with gold page edges and blocking. It contains the traditional 1662 services for baptism, confirmation, and marriage. It uses the 2004 setting, but the page numbers match those in earlier Cambridge editions of the Book of Common Prayer. It will make an economical and attractive gift.
