Man Hunt wins Extensive Reading Foundation award
We're very proud of our track record in the Language Learner Literature Awards offered by the Extensive Reading Foundation (ERF), a global charity that promotes reading among language learners.
And we're delighted to announce that Man Hunt, a 2012 addition to the Cambridge English Readers series by Richard MacAndrew, has won the 2013 Language Learner Literature Award, in the Adolescent and Adult: Upper Intermediate and Advanced category.
"This original murder mystery, set in a rural community, is a compelling read for crime story enthusiasts. Moving back and forth between the voices of the criminal and the police, MacAndrew draws the reader into the narrative. With clear, yet vivid language, the reader is able to participate in the problem-solving of the detectives as they unravel the mystery." (Judge's comment)
Cambridge offers three readers series for learners of English. All have extensive support materials on our website, including placement tests, games, worksheets and teaching guides:
- Cambridge English Readers, a six-level series of original fiction for adults
- Cambridge Experience Readers, a seven-level series aimed at teenagers, which includes adapted fiction and factbooks as well as original fiction
- Cambridge Storybooks and Cambridge Young Readers: Factbooks for primary-age childrenÂ
