2020 Byzantine Studies Conference

Welcome

Hello and welcome!  We hope that you and families are keeping well in the era of social distancing.  In light of COVID-19 we've decided to take our exhibit stands online.  It’s not like being at the event in person, but we hope it offers at least some semblance of normality during this challenging time.  Below you will find a list of the books we would have had on display, as well as information on who to contact if you are interested in publishing with us.  We've also increased our online discount so that being at home doesn't mean you have to miss out on conference prices, if you're in the market for a good book that is.  If not, then perhaps just close your eyes for a moment and pretend you’re in the exhibit hall, about to head off to the wine reception or grab a coffee….

And now that you've got yourself that all important drink, how about a quick word from two of our editors:

Message from the Editor

I hope you are well and managing in this difficult year. I am very sorry not to be able to meet you in person in Cleveland and run our usual physical book display, although I look forward to attending the conference virtually But our publishing in Byzantine Studies continues apace and one highlight is the gorgeous two-volume work on hell by a team led by Angeliki Lymberopoulou. At least five more books on Byzantium are due for publication in early 2021, and do look out for the exciting new series of Cambridge Elements on Constantinople, edited by Peter Frankopan!

Conference Offers

30% Discount
