Second Language Research Forum
Welcome
Hello and welcome! We hope that you and families are keeping well in the era of social distancing. In light of COVID-19 we've decided to take our exhibit stands online. It’s not like being at the event in person, but we hope it offers at least some semblance of normality during this challenging time. Below you will find a list of the books we would have had on display, as well as information on who to contact if you are interested in publishing with us. We've also increased our online discount so that being at home doesn't mean you have to miss out on conference prices, if you're in the market for a good book that is. If not, then perhaps just close your eyes for a moment and pretend you’re in the exhibit hall, about to head off to the wine reception or grab a coffee….
And now that you've got yourself that all important drink, how about a quick word from one of our editors:
Message from the editor
We have lots of exciting new titles to showcase at SLRF this year, including Alison Mackey’s new book, Interaction, Feedback and Task Research in Second Language Learning, brand new textbooks including Vocabulary in Language Teaching, Intercultural Communication and Language Pedagogy and The Cambridge Introduction to Applied Linguistics, and Mizza and Rubio’s Creating Effective Blended Language Learning Courses. There is also a brand new Element just published in the Cambridge Elements in Second Language Acquisition series: Generative Second Language Acquisition.
f you have any ideas for new books that you’re planning to write - whether it be a book about a ‘key topic’ in your field, or a reference volume for Cambridge Handbooks in Language and Linguistics, or perhaps an idea for a student textbook to support course teaching at undergraduate or graduate levels – please do get in touch and let me know.
Journals
If journals are more your thing, then here are a few that we think might be of particular interest.
