Each year the British Ecological Society organises an annual symposium on a topic of current interest and activity in the ecological sciences. These annual symposia have, for over 40 years, attracted contributors of the highest standard, and the meeting has been followed up with a book based on presentations given at the meeting. Suitable for graduate students, research workers and lecturers, the series provides a collection of benchmark volumes of the highest standard.
