Pitt Minion Bibles are notable for their synthesis of function and style—of readable text, in compact form – and have been a feature of the Cambridge list for over 70 years. Recently, Cambridge has developed new Pitt Minion Bibles in a range of versions, all in the same elegant format as the original KJV editions of the 1930s. Now the KJV edition has been freshly typeset as part of the current generation of Cambridge Pitt Minion Reference Bibles. In these, the text is presented in paragraph style, using a modern font that has many qualities in common with the traditional Bible typefaces. In the Pitt Minion design it delivers the characteristic combination of clarity with economy of form – producing a slimline Bible that is exceptionally clear and easy to read. The edition includes 15 newly designed colour maps, and a Reader's Companion (combining some of the features of a traditional concordance and dictionary). This Bible is bound in two-grain black imitation leather and has gilt edges.

To first give a quick summary, this is a beautiful bible. As the bible is still new to me I will say the craftsmanship appears to be first-rate. Inside, paper is thin, soft, opaque, very high quality. Print quality is very good, with the font being clear and sharp and looking traditional. A nitpick would be that I would like the verse numbers to be slightly darker. I am especially happy to say that darkness of print is consistent and very stable overall. Cover material is smooth, soft, pleasant to touch and hold. If it wears well over time this material is quite satisfactory. I like the size and weight of the bible, making it very convenient to hold and carry. I really like the layout of the printed page, which looks so attractively traditional even though it is paragraph style. Yes, print is small but very clear and sharp. My vision is not great and I do use reading glasses, though I can read this bible okay in good lighting without them. Best for those with good vision. All in all I would highly recommend this bible, especially if the synthetic covering wears well. I would love to see this bible in a larger size, and also in a wide-margin edition. So far, I am a very satisfied buyer!
