Using authentic practice tests in IELTS classrooms - Listening
Date: Thursday 17 November
Time: 10:00
Preparing students for high-stakes exams brings many challenges, including the risk of over-testing. This webinar from teacher trainer Allen Davenport aims to guide teachers in exploiting authentic practice material, with the objective of bridging the teaching of language and test preparation needed to help our students succeed. This webinar focuses on the IELTS Listening section, and provides techniques and practical activities that can be used in the classroom.
Allen Davenport is the ELT Consultant for the ASEAN region at Cambridge University Press. He has been actively involved in education for more than 15 years as a teacher, teacher trainer, administrator, and examiner. Allen holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a master’s of education with a focus on student development.
