Are you looking to develop your writing skills and engage with an audience that&#8217;s just as enthusiastic on the subject as you are?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/journal-of-fluid-mechanics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Journal of Fluid Mechanics<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/flow\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Flow: Applications of Fluid Mechanics<\/em><\/a> would like to invite you to submit a story as part of our Fluids Writing Competition. If this sounds like the opportunity for you, our guidelines are as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Entries must be written for a broad scientific audience and no longer than 700 words.<\/li><li>Stories must be based on a paper published in the Journal of Fluid Mechanics. If your institution does not have access, you can use <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/journal-of-fluid-mechanics\/focus-on-fluids\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Focus on Fluids papers<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/journal-of-fluid-mechanics\/open-access\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">papers which have been published open access<\/a>.<\/li><li>Stories must be submitted by 5:00pm GMT on Friday, 19th March, 2021.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners will receive a certificate on behalf of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/journal-of-fluid-mechanics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Journal of Fluid Mechanics<\/em><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cambridge.org\/core\/journals\/flow\"><em>Flow: Applications of Fluid Mechanics<\/em><\/a>, will have their stories published on <a href=\"http:\/\/cupblog.bluefusesystems.com\/tag\/fluid-mechanics\/\">the fluid mechanics blog<\/a> and will have their work promoted via Cambridge University Press subject-level social media accounts!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions and completed entries can be submitted to jfmprize@cambridge.org.
