Summary

The most important forms of lawful dismissal are notice (with a period of notice) and dismissal for just cause. Categorised as unlawful dismissal are dismissal with payment of compensation in lieu of notice (because of non-observance of the rules of dismissal) and the unilateral change of an essential element of the contract of employment.
