Film review information

The Film Review Editor seeks individuals well qualified by research interests and publications to review films in their specific areas of expertise. In order to preserve academic independence in the ASR, we cannot accept unsolicited reviews, but we do welcome colleagues' volunteering to review titles in their fields of interest. In exchange for writing a film review, the reviewer gets to keep the review copy. No other renumeration is provided. Film reviews are not technically peer reviewed. We respect the right of reviewers to express their own views and do not intend to edit their judgment. The Film Review Editor, however, reserves the right to edit for length and clarity of style and to suggest other changes agreeable to the reviewer.

Guidelines for Film Reviewers are available here.

Editors will send reviewers the Cambridge University Press Copyright Transfer form, also available on the website here. Please sign and return it promptly with the review, as no submissions can be published without it.
