In Memoriam: Tony King (Founding Editor, British Journal of Political Science)
The British Journal of Political Science is mourning the loss of Tony King, one of its founding editors, who passed away on January 12th.
Tony, together with his colleague Brian Barry, founded the British Journal of Political Science 46 years ago, quickly turning BJPolS into one of the most prestigious and respected discipline-wide journals in political science.
Even after stepping down as editor, Tony continued his close involvement with the journal until the end. He served on its Editorial Board and was a mentor to all of the editors that followed him.
All of us at the journal feel very fortunate to have known Tony. He was an academic trailblazer and, above all, the most kind and generous person. He will be greatly missed.
