Abstract

The Palaearctic leaf beetle species Cassida viridis Linnaeus (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) is newly recorded from North America on the basis of recent observations of established populations on Monarda Linnaeus (Lamiaceae) plantings in an Ontario, Canada garden. Historical specimen records show that the species has been in Ontario at least since 1974.
