1 This is not to deny the considerable worth of some of the other volumes. It should also be pointed out that Dodds and Bond chose to comment on two of Euripides' most rewarding plays.

2 On P. Hibeh 179 see now Cropp, M. J., ZPE 48 (1982), 67 ff. Cropp has discovered a further complication: fr. 2 col. ii. 6 appears to coincide with line 238 of our play.
