1 A draft of Voigt's manuscript appears to have been delivered to the publishers earlier, since the copyright is dated 1963. She has however managed to work in some references to later publications.

3 Voigt oddly calls these half-brackets uncioli. Her Latin is not as good as her Lesbian.

4 They conceal, for example, the fact that Sa. 42 is about doves, and that the two pieces of Alc. 359 are from the beginning and end of a poem respectively; they do not record any supplement for Alc. 325. 1 ἄνασσ᾽ ᾽Αθανάα πολε|, although the rather easy solution (now confirmed by the Strabo palimpsest) was found in 1829.
