Dosage–mortality responses of the rice weevil, Sitophilus oryzae (L.), to an insect growth regulator, R-20458: Effects of R-20458 on F2 progeny production

  • Jane N. Mkhize (a1)
Abstract

Dosage–mortality responses of F1 progeny of treated rice weevils, Sitophilus oryzae, indicated that the weevil is highly tolerant to R-20458. However, the ability of the insect growth regulator (IGR) to suppress F2 progeny production, demonstrated that R-20458 could be used as a protectant for grains.
