In Memoriam – David Raup (1933-2015) - It is with sadness that the Paleontological Society notes the passing of David Raup. Steven Holland, president of the Society noted: 'Dave was a pillar of our profession. His analytical, skeptical, and elegant approach to paleobiology shaped generations, and its influence is felt today across the discipline. As advisor and colleague, he touched the lives of countless students and professionals with his humility and example.
