MRS Advances Call for Papers: Emerging Materials for Plasmonics, Metamaterials and Metasurfaces
Emerging Materials for Plasmonics, Metamaterials and Metasurfaces
Issue date: July 2019
Submission deadline: April 29, 2019
MRS Advances is accepting full-paper submissions on Electronic Devices and Materials topics related to the symposium topic Emerging Materials for Plasmonics, Metamaterials and Metasurfaces from the 2019 MRS Spring Meeting. Submissions, the review process, and the final decision are not contingent on presentation at the meeting itself.
MRS Advances publishes short papers that provide a “snapshot” of an advance within the field of materials research. Such work may include important early indications from a research project that has not yet reached a conclusion, or related results that are significant but not central to the goal of the project. The scientific methods and logic should be rigorous, technically sound, and of interest to other specialists in the area of research.
Of particular interest are topics in Emerging Materials for Plasmonics, Metamaterials and Metasurfaces:
• Metasurfaces and nanoantenna
• All-dielectric resonant structures
• Fabrication techniques for improving plasmonic properties
• Designing material properties to decrease optical losses
• Emerging plasmonic materials
• Nitrides, oxides, highly doped semiconductors, and noble metal alloys
• Two-dimensional materials: graphene and beyond
• Transition metal dichalcogenides and trichalcogenides
• Dynamically switchable and phase change materials
• Materials with near-zero permittivity and hyperbolic dispersion
• Ultrafast and nonlinear effects in metamaterials and plasmonics
• Surface phonon polaritons, mid-infrared and terahertz applications
• Near-field optical imaging and focusing
• Photovoltaic applications and efficient light harvesting
• Platforms for optoelectronics and quantum information processing
• Plasmonic sensing
Manuscript Submission:
To be considered for MRS Advances, new and previously unpublished results significant to the development of this field should be presented. The manuscripts must be submitted via the MRS Advances electronic submission system by April 29, 2019. All manuscripts will be reviewed in the standard rapid timeframe of MRS Advances to ensure timely publication in the issue related to the submission topic. Please see manuscript preparation instructions, length restrictions, and the required template for submission at www.mrs.org/mrs-advances-manuscript-instructions. At submission, indicate Electronic Devices and Materials as the topical area of your paper.
Please contact mrsadvances@mrs.org with any questions.
