Abstract

Upon staining with OsO4, crazes in rubber-toughened themplastics show inverted contrast in microscopy of ultra-thin sections and the details of the craze microstructure are masked. This report presents a method of specimen preparation for obtaining correct contrast of light crazes in a darker background.
