Book description

In recent years there has been an intensive development of Polish civil aviation sector, especially of regional airports. Effective growth of ports requires a diagnosis of their competitiveness in today's turbulent passenger transport market.
The book presents the competitiveness factors of the regional airport in Poland as compared with competitive European ports. On the basis of the econometric analysis, a universal model of competitiveness of the regional airport has been created, which proves useful in the practical management of modern regional airports. Possibilities and directions of the growth of Polish airports has been also illustrated, taking into account the current economic and political situation, as well as in terms of forecasts for passenger transport sector development.

The monograph not only enriches the concept of the competitiveness of the airport and establishes determinants of competitiveness of Polish airports, but also makes a contribution to further researches and analyses, favouring identification of factors determining the level of competitiveness of airports on a cross cutting basis and in broader time-frame.
