Notes on Excavations in the British Isles, 1957*

Published online by Cambridge University Press:  27 May 2014

Extract

As last year, the following notes have been gathered from many sources and thanks are due to all those who supplied them, and also to those who sent in ‘nil returns’. Prof. M. O'Kelly, the Council for British Archaeology and Ministry of Works, Mr E. M. Jope, Mr J. G. Scott and Dr H. Savory were again especially helpful in their particular regions.
