The junction characteristics between ZnO:Ga (GZO) film and p-Si substrate are discussed in the research. For the transparent semiconductor ZnO, the element Ga is chosen to be the dopant source to produce a high quality n-type ZnO thin film. The ZnO:Ga (GZO) film shows a average transmittance is 84.7% (above 400 nm), a bandgap energy of 3.37 eV, a carrier concentration of 7.29×1013 cm−3and a resistivity of 118 Ω-cm. For the GZO/p-Si junction, it shows a junction barrier height of 0.54 eV with an ideality factor of 1.24. The capacitance-voltage measurement shows that it has a uniform reverse bias depletion layer. The Cheung function is also brought to discussion the diode characteristics.

Pyomyositis (PM) is an uncommon cause of acute bacterial infection occurring in skeletal muscle. This disease is rare in non-tropical areas, and PM caused by Mycobacterium is very rare in a non-immunocompromised person. The presence of temporal area swelling may lead to a differential diagnosis toward more common pathologies, such as a complication of mastoiditis or a neoplasm of the temporal area. This article describes a case of tuberculous pyomyositis in a non-immunocompromised woman, the diagnosis of which was confirmed by sonographically guided fine-needle aspiration.

The carbon nanotubes provide large surface that can enhance the gas adsorption properties and increase the conductivity at a lower temperature for gas sensing. The gas sensing properties of the hybrid TiO2/CNTs material are examined in this study. The sol-gel technique is used to prepare a thin layer of nano-TiO2 coated on CNTs. The structure of TiO2/CNTs hybrid materials is identified by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectrum. The granules and surface morphology are analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The electrical properties of the hybrid TiO2/CNTs indicate that the operation temperature can be lowered to ambient temperature and this will enhance the gas sensitivity for detecting CO gas. The n-type or p-type behavior of hybrid TiO2/CNTs can be controlled by the coating thickness of hybrid TiO2. According to the image results, the mechanisms of the n-type and p-type behavior of hybrid TiO2/CNTs system are proposed.
