The widespread use of finite-element analysis (FEA) in industry has led to a large accumulation of cases. Leveraging past FEA cases can improve accuracy and efficiency in analyzing new complex tasks. However, current engineering case retrieval methods struggle to measure semantic similarity between FEA cases. Therefore, this article proposed a method for measuring the similarity of FEA cases based on ontology semantic trees. FEA tasks are used as indexes for FEA cases, and an FEA case ontology is constructed. By using named entity recognition technology, pivotal entities are extracted from FEA tasks, enabling the instantiation of the FEA case ontology and the creation of a structured representation for FEA cases. Then, a multitree algorithm is used to calculate the semantic similarity of FEA cases. Finally, the correctness of this method was confirmed through an FEA case retrieval experiment on a pressure vessel. The experimental results clearly showed that the approach outlined in this article aligns more closely with expert ratings, providing strong validation for its effectiveness.

A novel Ag/AgBr/Nb2O5 heterojunction photocatalyst was successfully developed via a facile solvothermal method combined with deposition–precipitation. The morphology and composition of the Ag/AgBr/Nb2O5 photocatalyst were investigated by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray energy-dispersive spectrometry, respectively. The results showed that metallic Ag was formed on the surface of the AgBr by an in situ photoreaction. The low crystalline Nb2O5 (L-Nb2O5) substrate provides the photocatalyst with a high specific area and numerous active sites for catalysis, while the combination of the Ag/AgBr with L-Nb2O5 effectively facilitates the separation of photo-generated charge carriers. The photocatalytic activities of the samples were measured using the degradation of an aqueous solution of rhodamine B under different LEDs with UV (365 nm), yellow (595 nm), and white (400 nm ≤ λ ≤ 800 nm) light. The Ag/AgBr/L-Nb2O5 photocatalyst displayed a much higher photocatalytic activity than bare L-Nb2O5 under UV and visible-light irradiation.

AgBr-modified Bi2WO6 nanosheets were successfully synthesized using a CTAB-assisted hydrothermal method followed by a facile deposition–precipitation procedure. The as-prepared photocatalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET), and photoluminescence emission spectroscopy (PL). AgBr nanoparticles were found evenly distributed on the surface of the Bi2WO6 nanosheets. The AgBr/Bi2WO6 nanocomposite demonstrated enhanced pollutant decolorization efficiency in eliminating Rhodamine B (RhB), methyl orange (MO), and phenol aqueous solutions under simulated solar light irradiation. It has been noticed that the adsorption performance of both Bi2WO6 nanosheets and AgBr-modified Bi2WO6 nanosheets played a more important role in the decolorization of pollutants, such as RhB and MO, than their photocatalytic ability. The high adsorption efficiency of the photocatalysts was mainly attributed to the increased surface area and the exposed reactive facets of the materials.

Multiferroic CoFe2O4–BiFeO3 (CFO–BFO) core–shell nanofibers were synthesized by coaxial electrospinning. The spinel structure of CFO and perovskite structure of BFO were confirmed by x-ray diffraction and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The core–shell configuration of nanofibers was verified by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy images. The macroscopic ferromagnetic property of core–shell nanofibers was demonstrated by magnetic hysteresis loop. The local magnetoelectric (ME) coupling was confirmed by using dual frequency piezoresponse force microscopy (PFM) under an external magnetic field, showing magnetically induced evolution of piezoresponse and domain structure. The ferroelectric characteristics are demonstrated by the switching spectroscopy PFM. From PFM hysteresis and butterfly loops, it is observed that the piezoresponse amplitude is reduced while coercive voltage increased under external in-plane magnetic field, induced through the mechanical interactions between magnetostrictive CFO and piezoelectric BFO, from which the lateral ME coupling can be estimated quantitatively. The nanofibers thus can find a variety of applications as a one-dimensional multiferroic material.
