Agricultural & Applied Economics Association Annual Meeting
Hello and welcome! We hope that you and families are keeping well in the era of social distancing. In light of COVID-19 we've decided to take our exhibit stands online. It’s not like being at the event in person, but we hope it offers at least some semblance of normality during this challenging time. Below you will find a list of the books we would have had on display, as well as information on who to contact if you are interested in publishing with us. We've also increased our online discount so that being at home doesn't mean you have to miss out on conference prices, if you're in the market for a good book that is. If not, then perhaps just close your eyes for a moment and pretend you’re in the exhibit hall, about to head off to the wine reception or grab a coffee….
And now that you've got yourself that all important drink, how about a quick word from some of our editors:
Name: Andrew Hyde
Title: Commissioning and Development Editor
Message from the editor
I work closely with the editorial teams of two peer-reviewed open access journals: the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics (Southern Agricultural Economics Association) and the Agricultural and Resource Economics Review (Northeastern Agricultural and Resource Economics Association). I’d like to introduce the new JAAE Editorial team: Carlos Carpio (Texas Tech), Olga Isengildina Massa (Virginia Tech) and David Willis (Clemson). I’d be happy to answer any questions about publishing in these journals, or with Cambridge generally. I also have an interest in Open Research, and am keen to have conversations about data and code availability in agricultural economics and related fields.
Name: Philip Good
Title: Commissioning Editor
Message from the editor
I commission books in environmental, ecological and agricultural economics. I am sorry I will not be able to talk to people in person at the conference, but I would be more than happy to speak to anyone who has a book project that they are looking to publish. This can be anything from an idea to a completed manuscript. I’m particularly interested in ideas for new textbooks at the moment, but I’m also interested in discussing other types of project. If you have a project that you would like to discuss then please email me with the subject heading ‘AAEA 2020 – meet the editor’.
If journals are more your thing, then here are a few that we think might be of particular interest.
We have increased our online discount to 30% to match the offer that would have been available to delegates at our conference stand. Regrettably, the online offer is limited to certain countries (for the full list of the countries included in the offer please see www.cambridge.org/conferencediscount ), however our customer services team are more than happy to accept orders offline and will honour the discount for customers in all countries where trading sanctions do not apply. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your order details and reference the conference discount code noted below.
It’s not your fault that you can’t buy a book from us in person at the moment so we will also be offering free shipping on all online orders for books included in this promotion. For full terms and conditions please visit www.cambridge.org/freeconferencedelivery
Our AAEA 2020 article collection features selected articles from our two peer-reviewed open access journals: the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics (JAAE) and the Agricultural and Resource Economics Review (ARER)
