Academic Book Week

Celebrating Innovation in Publishing for Academic Book Week, 23 – 28 January 2017

Cambridge University Press is delighted to support Academic Book Week 2017 for the second year running. abw_2017_image_2.png

This year focuses on championing innovation in publishing and to celebrate we have picked 20 award-winning books which you can read here for free throughout Academic Book Week.

Cambridge will also be taking part in the Academic Book Week flagship event at the British Library on 25 January, with a panel session on Insight and Innovation in Publishing. Chaired by Chris Fell, Cambridge’s Digital Strategy and Partnerships Director, the panel will examine case studies including Cambridge Core, the Press’s major new academic content platform, and The Nine Dots Prize, a major new award in the social sciences.

Joining him will be Nisha Doshi, Digital Development Publisher, Vicky Drummond, Head of User Experience and Platform, and Professor Simon Goldhill, Director of CRASSH (The Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Science and Humanities at Cambridge University) and Chairman of the Nine Dots Prize.

This promises to be a fun and informative session, focused on finding solutions to develop new publishing initiatives and meet the challenges of an ever-changing marketplace. Click here to register for a free ticket and share cambridge.org/ABW with your friends and colleagues so they don't miss out on reading our editors' top 20 picks for free. #AcBookWeek
