William Janeway's book a 2012 Financial Times Top Economics Pick

We are pleased to announce that William Janeway's Doing Capitalism in the Innovation Economy has been selected as a 2012 top pick in the Financial Times' Best Books of the Year.

FT Chief Economics Commentator Martin Wolf had this to say about the book:

Janeway, who built the technology investment team of Warburg Pincus, has a powerful message: an innovative economy “begins with discovery and culminates in speculation”. Unfashionably, he insists that the state plays a central role in the innovative economy, as a source of funding for infrastructure and research and as a guarantor of stability when financial speculation ends in disaster, as it tends to do.

Cambridge University Press congratulates William Janeway on this noteworthy accomplishment.
