At the beginning of the twentieth century one of the greatest literary editions of all time was published: Cook and Wedderburn's 'Library Edition' of the Works of John Ruskin, the nineteenth-century polymath. General access to Ruskin's complete works is now made possible through this electronic version, which enables users to navigate rapidly and search accurately through the entire text (9 million words long) and over 2,100 digitized graphic images. The Wide Area Network (WAN) contract allows networking by single institutions: an unlimited number of users may access from any point within the institution, as long as password/IP protection is in place.
